How we handle your and your child's personal data
London Immersion · Privacy Notice · Version 1.0

This Privacy Notice explains how London Immersion collects, uses, and protects personal data when you enquire about or take part in our programmes. It reflects our obligations under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Because our programmes are for students aged 16–18, much of the data we handle relates to children. We treat that data with particular care, and we rely on a parent or guardian’s consent and involvement throughout.

1. Who we are

London Immersion is a trading name of London Immersion Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales, based in London. We are the ‘data controller’ for the personal data described here. Our full company registration details are available on request.

For any question about this notice or your data, contact privacy@londonimmersion.com.

2. The information we collect

From the parent or guardian

About the student

We only collect what we need to respond to your enquiry and, if you enrol, to deliver the programme safely.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

The specific lawful bases under the UK GDPR on which we rely for each of these uses — including for health and other special-category data — are being finalised with our advisers and will be set out here in full before this notice is published.

4. Marketing

We will only send you marketing about our programmes if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time. We never sell your data, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data only where necessary to deliver the programme safely, including with:

We put appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms in place with any partner who handles data on our behalf.

6. International transfers

Because families are typically in Taiwan and the programme runs in the United Kingdom, some personal data is transferred internationally between you, our agents, and us. Where we transfer data outside the UK, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to UK standards. The specific transfer safeguards we use will be confirmed here before publication.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable follow-up period, and then delete it. We keep the records of enrolled students for as long as necessary to deliver the programme and to meet our legal, safeguarding, and insurance obligations, after which we securely delete them. Where a shorter or longer period is required for a specific type of record, that period will apply.

8. How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep personal data secure, restrict access to those who need it, and hold health and safeguarding information with particular care.

9. Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability, among others. To exercise any right, contact us at the address above.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The current version and its date always appear at the top of this page.
